Thanks man. The beauty of working with something like this is that theres so damn much to fix/work on that updates are inevitable and plentiful. Hopefully at the end of it i can sit back, look at it and just think, what a cool little daily runner. Then using all the skills and "what not to do's" that i will no doubt learn the hard way, i can apply that to the mk3 project.
Nice couple of days weather (by Scottish standards... basically that means minimum rain... not NO rain... but minimal rain), so I decided to make a start on the paint side of things. Which will be a long long long process. But an interesting new skill to persue. So much to learn, preparation, repair, paint and finish.
Due to the limited space indoors and scottish weather concerns, I'm going a bit at a time. It's not going to be a show car, only my daily hack. But I'll try for the best finish I can.
Bit of roof prep. High build primer left overnight before wet and dry sanding.
