  1. TYP 19C .. Early MK2 GTI

Cheers man, I'm looking forward to finally working on it haha Hopefully mate, I'm hoping to fit an air compressor in there sometime soon and I can get cracking on it then
  2. Mk2 caddy Tdi Van.

Much better man ! Retrimming them would be cool yeah ! .. I've always fancied putting mk5 GTI seats in mine. Just don't want to spend any more money on it right now haha
  3. Mk2 caddy Tdi Van.

Wow I bet that smells great haha awesome progress on this so far though mate, you should chuck some cupra seats in whilst the standards are out. The difference is amazing
  4. TYP 19C .. Early MK2 GTI

Glad to see alot of my photos are still here after the photobucket bulls**t ! Again, not really an update but an update that may lead to more updates .. Moved to a new house the other week ad it has a garage, and a decent sized one at that .. Untitled by scott davies, on Flickr Soon managed to fill it with crap though .. Untitled by scott davies, on Flickr Plans are to oraganise the hell out of it and then get cracking out the engine and bay
  5. TYP 19C .. Early MK2 GTI

Cheers mark! .. just need to start working on it now, stripping everything off was the easy part haha Someguycalledtom - I had them made by Ross (2tonedub) on here .. his work is awesome FairPlay
  6. Engine rebuild ..

I'm not sure man I haven't had time to strip it yet because I've been moving house, I may not end up going that far on it anyway, I'll have to see how it looks when I start taking bits off
  7. Engine rebuild ..

Sorry for the late reply guys, but thanks for the info! Reason for doing is is because it's going to be more or less stripped right down so would rather get all the crap out as it's a 33 year old engine. I think I'll just go down the route of cleaning it on a stand then, it sounds easier and cheaper haha
  8. Project Pickfords - MK2 Caddy TDI

Cheers bro! .. well happy with how it looks now, now time to spend time and money on the mk2
  9. Project Pickfords - MK2 Caddy TDI

  13. Project Pickfords - MK2 Caddy TDI

Like normal, months have gone by without updates, but a lot has happened ! so ill keep it brief .. Firstly this happened - Untitled by scott davies, on Flickr Untitled by scott davies, on Flickr A guy in work decided to reverse his TT into the front of me, causing it to be written off, in the mean time i got given a 16 plate caddy to roll around in .. then some thoughtless little tool of indeterminate use (thanks chief) went and done this - Untitled by scott davies, on Flickr After this i managed to get a super dooper deal on some panels, Bonnet, 2 front wings, 2 headlamps and indicators all in the same colour .. £50 !!!! So the fun began .. Untitled by scott davies, on Flickr Untitled by scott davies, on Flickr Untitled by scott davies, on Flickr Still not 100% but once i can source a mint slam panel itll be done .. Also sold the KW's on and invested in another set of borbet's as they're my favourite wheel! The 195/45's were a bit too big for the fronts so i got some 165/40s bought and some new flat caps to replace the god awful hex caps .. 14. Engine rebuild ..

I'm planning on rebuilding my engine over the next few months but I'm just wondering would it be ok to acid dip the block ? My thinking is it will clean out everything 100% .. anyone ever done this ? It's a 1.8 8v GTI kjet
  15. TYP 19C .. Early MK2 GTI
