  1. Beige Mk1 golf 1.8T 20V smoothed bay

All the engine bay work was done by myself and a mate when the car was first built, see if you can pick up a copy of the PVW it was in, plenty of nice bay detail shots in there.

Thanks man, PM should be with you now!
  3. Beige Mk1 golf 1.8T 20V smoothed bay

Lot of headscratching and fab work to get the bay that smooth. Glad you noticed the level engine, I made the mounts to ensure it sat perfectly level, tilting engines are one of my pet hates! I still have his number/email address. I'll dig it out and PM it to you.

Wondered where this had gone, I did a lot of the fabrication work when I helped my buddy build it!

Lost my phone whilst pissed up in Ulaanbaatar which had all my pics on it. The guy I travelled with is hanging out in asia for the next few weeks until the Malasian Moto GP, he has hundreds of pictures which I'll be able to get my hands on when he returns
  6. Anyone re threaded adaptors?

helicoil it, you can buy an m12x1.5 kit from the bay for 15 quid. dont some adapters come ready helicoiled?
  7. Polo GT 3F Running Problems

Right, I have a mk1 golf that I have fitted a 3f Polo GT engine to. I was running it daily for months with no problem. Driving home one night it started running really badly and eventually cut out. I managed to get it started and limp home with it periodically cutting out. I checked and changed the Blue temp sensor and Lambda probe to see if that made any difference, but did not solve the problem. After pulling all 4 plugs and finding them very wet, I assume its an overfuelling problem. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this? I have recently changed all the vacuum pipes around the throttle body/FPR so am certain that all these are fine. I guess its either a faulty FPR or maybe something to do with wiring to Injectors or Injectors themselves. Any help would be much appreciated. thanks
