right guys hope someone can help after a few month of owning my mk4 i8t im very happy however a few days ago i noticed when the engine is idling it was dropping down in revs just a little then straight back to normal then a couple of days later after bein stood over night the car started fine but struggled to pull away i had to stop then start it again then the car was fine i have also noticed a smell of petrol so i took the engine cover off and noticed the wires on the plug goin to the coil packs were little bare showing copper so i was thinking when the car is cold and the damp air is bout could be causing them to short out which when i plugged it into my mates vag com there was a lot of short to ground faults on things like fuel injector for cylinder 1,2,3 and 4 anyway here is the full list of faults VAG-COM Version: Release 311.2-N Chassis Type: 1J - VW G/J/B Mk4 Scan: 01,02,03,08,15,17,19,22,35,46,56 Address 01 ------------------------------------------------------- Controller: 06A 906 032 HJ Component: 1.8L R4/5VT 0002 Coding: 11500 Shop #: WSC 01317 WVWZZZ1JZ2W076199 VWZ6Z0A3511217 14 Faults Found: 17705 - Pressure Drop between Turbo and Throttle Valve (check D.V.!)
