  1. SWB Audi Sport Quattro

Here's a set of 9's; http://www.comp.co.uk/wheels/wheels.asp?range=MO_0058 .....special order from Germany and last time I checked the only available size was 9 x 16 offset -7mm. This is the original size of the Audi Speedline wheels. The price per wheel is 400 EUR plus 19% VAT (if you have no VAT number) plus shipping charges at cost price. I hope this helps.... Cheers!
  2. AlleyCats

May I ask how much you paid........? Did you get a wheel and tyre combo? I had a look at the website, but it says to call them for vw fitment wheels....I could just phone them... I'm just thinking it'd be worth paying a bit extra for vw fitment rather than having to pay for wobble bolts and spigot rings, plus they'd be more desirable if I ever wanted to sell! Cheers, Leigh
  3. AlleyCats

Where did you get your AlleyCats from? I'm looking at buying these; http://www.minispares-online.co.uk/?cat_id=1&sub_cat_id=13&prod_id=704 ........for my Caddy Pick-up. Was originally looking at 13 x 8's but was put off my a thread I read recommending 7's over 8's, what's your thoughts?.....and do you have any pics of your wheels on your mk1? Cheers, Leigh
  4. Audi 80 Quattro - LOTS of pics!

Heres some pics of inspiration / interest This is why I set my heart on the BBS's Favourite classic Audi's Just threw this in...........awesome looking car....love it! Cheers
  5. Audi 80 Quattro - LOTS of pics!

Yes I saw your brothers build thread and thought holy crap someone is doing EXACTLY the same as me, at the same time, to the same car, in a different part of the world....weird! Low suspension - who told you it would affect the driving? I've not noticed anything, she always did slightly understeer, which all earlier quattros had a problem with due to weight hanging out over the front, thats why Jeremy Clarkson always slated them until the new RS4. My URS4 does exactly the same... The coilovers were made to order in Germany so they were a bit of a wait, but well worth it in my opinion (height & damping adjustable)......I'm sure the Germans know what they're doing, after all thats really what we're all praising here. I have a friend who has a MK2 Golf with twin DTM's and we were talking about why all you guys hate them......and we can't figure it out.....I like them!! Cheers for the comments guys, much appreciated!!
  6. Audi 80 Quattro - LOTS of pics!

Thanks for all your comments guys, was a bit worried that is was maybe too plain jane for on here......... Faster lump - The engine I'm putting in is a 2.3 20v turbo - 170 Bhp, which will pave the way for eventually the 2.2 20v Turbo which I'd LIKE to tune to RS2 Spec....not that difficult you just need to source a few RS2 bits and get it mapped.. The 90 front end - I've thought about it yes, but decided that I preferred the 80 front end, as I'd like to keep the original look of the car. BBS's - Looked for a set of these for YEARS, spent hours checking forums everyday and eventually found them on here for sale and bought them off F1lthyR1ch, they were on his blue Audi 80 cabby (B4). The dimensions of the wheels are 16" * 9" all round, ET24, and they bolt straight on, only had to buy longer wheel bolts, so yea I'm well chuffed with the wheels. More pics shortly got my winter wheels on now.... Cheers Leigh

To bring this into perspective; this was a standard coupe quattro when he started, it not like he cut up a UR quattro. The same difference between a mk2 syncro / rallye, nobody would've batted an eyelid if he cut up a 1.8 sycro, same difference. This car would probably have rotted into the ground, as it turns out after he's finished (if not crashed) will be around for a long time. As for changing the windscreen rake, that STILL wouldn't make it a proper sport quattro as the C pillars are also different (thinner and more upright on the sport quattro) so it still wouldn't be right. He wants it for a competition car, not a show car, although it def would be worthy of the shows! Keep up the great work mate, and keep the updates coming! Cheers
