I picked this up the weekend before christmas. Its a lhd coupe quattro. Imported from Germany and then stolen and recovered, hence the lhd and the Q plate. Perfect base car realy

Started remaking the floor section, made templates for the floor, and cut away the inner roof skin to reveal the second skin to be welded.

Sorry for the huge amount of pictures, i guess i should have started a thread straight away but just never got round to it.

The shell now needs the seams stitch welded inside before the roll cage is made and welded in which will be very extensive.

I have some Kevlar Cobra Suzuka seats coming for it which should be here this week, so i will be able to get on with making the seat bars to get them mounted in place.

Its coming on well i would say.

some proper good metal fabrication going on there,and lovely welding!

just one question,how did you get the car in that room? threre dosnt seem to be a big door,just a wall behind and a load of fruit infront :blink:

your garage is truly awesome, as is the car that is been created and indeed the raleigh sign on the wall.
didnt the original sports use various audi panels rather than all from one model, seem to remember the roof coming from a saloon perhaps??
