After breaking my last VR I had a look around at the time for another vr but couldnt find any I liked so decided to wait, since then a lot has changed with work etc and so havent really been in a position to buy another until recently !

And so then I had this sitting on my driveway





then we did this a few pics during the build











I have this little box of tricks including a nice shiny new 9-10psi pulley



New seats mmmmmm very very comfy, and have got a plan to get rid of the white FK logo on the top too



Harnesses with padded supports, the only piece of non white or black on the car apart from the calipers !!

Better shot of the wheels, have been finished with a polishable top coat for extra shiny shiny



Engine is in, sounds amazing and that's without the charger on !



So I gave her a quick clean today, excuse the awful ride height this is at working height oh and its not fully built up yet which is why there isnt any headlights fogs etc !!







So it's obviously had a complete respray in VW Casablanca white, completely stripped the car and checked everything one front wing needed to be replaced and one small bit of rust which had to be cut out and welded at the rear apart from that really solid ! I have done/helped with all the work on the car apart from the final coat of paint and it has been bloody hard work at times taken almost 8 months to get it to this stage and I have learnt so so much but I have enjoyed every second of it

Cosmetic mods so far :-
Audi 80 door handles
rear numberplate recess smoothed
carbon bonnet
interior completely stripped of sound proofing etc for weight reduction
custom dash and interior center section
sills smoothed
all interior plastics re-sprayed
custom seat frames
tinted headlights rear lights and indicators
works wheels powdercoated in gloss black

Performace mods so far :-
G60 gearbox internale
B&M short shift
carbon bonnet
VR6 conversion
custom exhaust
312 front brake upgrade
stainless brake hoses
fully polybushed front subframe
new rear discs and pads
new adjusting and locking rings on all coilovers and fully refurbed
plus loads more ARB's strut braces etc etc etc !

Mods to do :-
Engine bay smoothing and re locating ancillaries
custom rear interior setup
fit harnesses
stereo system

probably loads more I have forgotten !! this will all be done by myself over winter for the car to be ready for Ultimate Dubs in march, fingers crossed the aim with the charger and the other engine mods is to acheive 300 bhp / tonne and the car will be mapped and sorted by Vince at Stealth Racing and will then get it corner weighted to see how far away I get !

Thanks bud Its a Z engineering one mate made 280bhp at 5 psi on the old golf so am hopeful of over 300 with the new pulley and other bits to go on

your much better off with a full car makes the conversion a lot easier and rusty vr's can be had cheaply atm, oh and change the whole loom and easier with a whole donor car
