On the same topic, some of the older generation have really kicked up a stink about Singh is Kinng, saying that if he was a real singh, then why does he have a trimmed beard?????
Anyway not wanting to take this topic into Religion zone, its all about the MUSIC!!! :D
Oh and on the topic of music again, whose going to see Miss Pooja??
Apparently Jazzy B is only going to be performing in Brum, Lesta and Wolves.

Yeh, thats little stupid to trim up beardo.. but still thats one barrier broken he is wearing a turban. Akhshay seems to have adopted his role big time in that one. Seems to be promoting it with a purpose.
Whens Miss Pooja performing? and where!
Kinda getting bored with her squeeky 'sittee marke' voice but still she's queen of Bhangra at the mo

I have nothing to do with the above site, but you can see a flyer and info on the gig there.

You go to a wedding, not a gig (as muic would be different) but a wedding
What for you makes a good dj at the wedding.. Is it the screens, the fireworks, the lighting, smoke etc.. the mixing , or the dj's play list which for you makes you think it was a good dj.
Reason for the question, been to loads of wedding this yr, quite a few in London, and i was surprised at how sh1t the dj's there were. Dj's seem to rely on the gimicks, ie the screens, fireworks etc..
For me, i couldn't give ten sh1ts about fireworks, they las 30 secs, screens are a novelty for the first 10 mins, but the party for me is how well the dj keeps the dance floor flowing, has to be one phat dance track after the next, and no excessive mixing.
Last time i had a Dj put on das ja, to mix it out after 30 secs, same with Heer Jags Klimax, and Chalkiyan, the man was useless... some just play 80s tunes still, like they haven't updated there play list since they began ..
what makes the party for you lads .. from the music point of view, not the sharab and ladies you kanjars ... :P

Dav, you forgot to mention the roti lol hahahahha
Some djs do that, but some do not, it all depends on who u get. Saying that coming back from a wedding in india i must say the djs there listen and play the whole track if you request them to do so.

What makes a good DJ at a party ? Has to be friendly and a live dholi :D I like Dj's who play songs that u request and they keep the dance floor rocking! The roti is minor when it comes 2 dancing boi's!!

Where are most of you guys from??
OK regarding the weddings...
It has to be CLEAR sound out of the speakers and good lighting really, as well as the music, i think it needs to be mixed well with a good amount of the song being played, you get alot of club dj's doing weddings, but the type of mixing at the 2 locations is very different, the chopping and changing at a club is good for the atmosphere but at a family event like a wedding it needs to be more subtle if that makes sense.
A good selection of music as well, meaning that they have enough tracks to play through the wedding rather than playing captain and seeti marke 10 times!!!
Im a bit of an old skool fan, but a lot of the new tracks are good enough, but a good 20-30 min old skool slot always goes down well i think....
How would you rate the current DJ's on the scene (wedding ones)??

Also that Break Ur Neck tune, it could be the Shinda tune i think with HMC - Soni Lagdi, or alternatively if you heard it in a club, it could have just been a live mix the DJ was doing????
