    Matt's Jetta Coupe

Thought I would start a thread for my Jetta. I am sure some of you will recognise it from the previous owner. I picked it up last August from London. It's my fourth Mk2, although my first Jetta, I couldn't say no as I've always wanted a coupe! So it was originally a 1.3, but since converted to a VR6. I got it on coilovers and a set of Porsche wheels, which I sold straight away. It had a few running issues when I got it, it was massively over fueling and generally running poorly unfortunately, so I've given it a good service and replaced a few things like the coilpack etc. Other than cracking the sump, it's been great since! I stuck it on a set of 3 piece Modernlines for a while, as I had them in the garage. This is what that looked like... My Coupe by Matt Wright, on Flickr Mk2 Jetta Coupe by Matt Wright, on Flickr Jetta by Matt Wright, on Flickr I sold the westy front as I'm not really a big fan, especially on a big bumper as it just doesn't look right in my opinion. So I put Jetta lights back on, although I'm after a 5 slat grille instead of the 7... The Jetta by Matt Wright, on Flickr The Jetta by Matt Wright, on Flickr I have since sold the Schmidts, I was running a set of Ronal LS' in the meantime (although no pictures). I had a set of Yokohama Parada Spec 2 tyres on these, which changed my mind on tyres massively. I couldn't believe the difference. As I've always run average tyres, usually with stretch, so running the Yokohama's made me realise just how much better the car is to drive on proper tyres! This meant I was on the hunt for another set of 15s that I could put proper tyres on. So this is what the car currently looks like (excuse the rear bumper)... I randomly came across the Rotiform LHR's on Instagram, and feel in love with them. They're 15" by 8J ET15 & 9J ET0. I've stuck a set of Yokohama Advan Neova AD08's on them, which are incredible to drive on. The next thing I need are some silly brakes! I've currently stripped the interior, apart from the front seats and dash. I'm planning on a set of bucket seats with harnesses etc. Although this may have to wait a bit as there are quite a few things I want to do first. That's about it for now...

    Snapped locking wheel nut key....

Try this, hammering a socket on enabled me to get mine out when I had the same problem a copy of days ago.
