    self full respray question

Farecla G3 or 3M Fast Cut. G3 is a much more coarse compound though, I prefer to use Fast Cut on fresh paint. Also someone above suggested using a rubbing down block. I don't mean to correct anyone but I would not advise this on new paint. Use a 3M Wet or Dry Squeegee at the very most.

Looked amazing at EE, by far the best A3/S3 there in my opinion. Needs more carbon though

Yeah I do see where your coming from, It's not to everyone's taste. The way I saw it, is it's somewhat more impressive having everything smoothed rather than just standard panels etc. Saying that, sometimes less IS more. I often think my car may look better with the side mouldings still on it. However I wont be changing it now, because it was a lot of work. But I see what you mean about it taking the shape away. I do like it myself, and I'm pleased with the result, but I'll be forever changing things I'm unsure about. I would have liked to do something majorly different with the exterior, but what isn't played these days on a mk4 golf? Cheers for the advice mate, that sounds like a good idea. Not sure how the US spec would work in this color though, may get another set of Euros instead, I'll see

I don't really like the GTI ones, but do you reckon the US spec lights would work?

Oh yeah sorry, It's just most people don't notice. And that's awesome mate, need to get yourself another car then Here's a few recent pics of my car, not dramatically changed really, but stripped out the interior etc. Got the car up on a ramp at the weekend to raise the suspension and swap the wheels, dunno why the rear is so high already, Looks awful. NEED Air!! Wheels off, will be splitting/polishing/re-painting them again soon along with new bolts, and fitting new 205/35's on the front for more stretch and thinner adaptors on the front too. What I've taken out so far, still need to get the front seats out. As well as the carpet, to run the lines for the air. Interior stripped out. I'm going to shorten the rear plate recess next, and I might change the Tailgate's handle for a Mk5 Golf one. It was EPIC amounts of work fitting the Barchetta one, but I now want a more understated appearance. So that's more to stuff to get done..

    1999 mk4 golf v5 pickup?

Looking awesome mate, great work I must admit, I'm quite jealous I didn't think of the idea first. This is going to be a serious car when complete!

Cheers Sambo, its pretty much off the road now. I've stripped out the rear seats, door cards, centre console, headlining, pillars etc. And the RS's are off as well, I'll stick some pictures up later. To be fair, I've not bothered with updates cause I've been focusing on my main project. I'm going to start a few things soon, then I'll probably order my bags and e level just after xmas, which should give me time to get it all ready along with interior for UD. Hopefully And yeah their not actually the same, a lot of people think I'm using the same plates on both cars My golf one is G1NNL, and my TT is G11NNL. Practically the same though Thank you mate, much appreciated.

    VW Golf MK5.... :D

Simply awesome mate.. I last looked at this build when you first started it in March. I saw your car at edition and loved it, but had no idea it was yours. Great effort and nice work mate, that interior looks lush. Look forward to seeing it next year.
