    General Clean

    Some good advice there For brushes to get into the nooks and crannies, have a look at Work Stuff www.work-stuff.co.uk They have a great selection of detailing brushes. The wash mitts and drying towels are great too. I've been using them since the end of last year and love them, can't fault the feel and quality.
  2. This MK2 Audi TT came in for some TLC after the owner noticed swirls and bits appearing after washing the car. The owner picked the car up before Christmas and all looked well. As the filler polished faded away the true finish became evident. The car is finished in Deep Sea Blue - a colour I hadn't seen before. It's a fantastic pearlescent paint but was being robbed by swirls and scratches. Unfortunately, the bonnet had been painted fairly poorly - uneven mottled paint, strike through on the edges, stone chip dips and silicone traces - this was brought up as well as I could but will be repainted in the near future. The order of the detail. Wheels, tyres and arches cleaned. Full Auto Finesse safe wash process. Decontamination - tar removal, iron fallout removal, clay bar and IPA wipedown. Multi stage machine polish. ODK Revere wax applied to the paintwork. System X Glass applied to exterior glass. Interior cleaned and leather treated with Auto Finesse Hide.   4. This lovely Tornado Red MK7 Golf R came in for some swirl removal and long term protection. The car was a fairly recent purchase for the owner and although it looked tidy enough, the haze across the paint was robbing it of gloss and clarity. The order of the detail... Wheels, tyres and arches cleaned. Full Auto Finesse safe wash. Decontamination - tar removal, iron fallout removal, clay bar and IPA wipe down. Major Enhancement - multi-stage machine polish. System X Pro ceramic coating applied to the paint work. System X pro applied to the wheel faces. SunTek Ultra PPF applied to the rear bumper deck/loading area. Exterior glass sealed with System X. Interior cleaned and leather conditioned.   5. I hadn't planned on making a thread of this as I only polished the car to get some durable protection on it for the easier upkeep in the future. The paintwork isn't great on the car. There are a lot of deep scratches, chips, scrapes and things that I couldn't justify chasing out. The order of the detail, Wheels, tyres, arches and brake calipers cleaned - these were sealed a few weeks ago. Full safe wash process with ODK Wax products. Decontamination - tar removal, fallout removal, clay bar and an IPA wipe down. Multi-stage machine polish. System X Diamond ceramic coating. Engine bay cleaned up and dressed.   6. This 10 year old mk2 Audi TT came in as a recommendation from a local VAG specialist. The car is in very good shape, but the dull paintwork was letting it down a little. It was decided that a Major Enhancement Detail would be carried out to remove as many defects as possible while preserving the original paintwork - followed by System X Crystal ceramic coating to protect the finish for up to 3 years.     Cheers dude. The coatings flash a lot quicker in the hot weather so you need to work a smaller area at a time. I've been going back later in the evening to apply the coatings when it's cooled down a bit.

  9. I have a cheap eBay foam lance. I bought it as there was super quick delivery and I needed one in a hurry. A year later, it's still going strong and gets used a few times a week.
  10. This is the second time I've detailed this car, almost a year to the date. It came in last year to be tidied up after a respray where it was left very flat and dull. The paint work was corrected and Ceramic Pro Light applied. The car then went on to collect a few trophies last year at various shows. The car wen't back to the body shop for some warranty work - but they rushed it, gave the owner a ''courtesy polish'' and sent it out the door. There was a lot of damage caused so a fair amount of work was needed to put it right. The order of the detail, Full Auto Finesse safe wash and decontamination process. Multi stage machine polishing. Ctechniq Crystal Serum Light and Exo applied to all exterior paintwork. Wheels were coated with Ceramic Pro Wheel & Caliper last year and it was still holding up well. glass polished and coated with Ceramic Pro Rain.   13. This beautiful supercharged F Type S was a recent purchase for the owner. They had some concerns about the soft JLR paint so decided on Ceramic Pro 9H to protect it. The paint was in general good shape with your average swirling and a few random deeper marks. The order of the detail... Wheels, tyres and arches cleaned. Full safe wash and decontamination. Enhancement detail - single stage machine polish (isolated areas received 2 or 3 polishing stages where needed). Ceramic Pro 9H and Light applied to the paintwork.
