So, 2 of the Monza's are on. Got a few days to sort tyres for the rears yet, so i'll be finishing them off with some sanding/polishing. Super happy with them to be honest. Really different approach to one of these cars hahaha Also tried on my friends RF's, i LOVE these wheels. Also split down my two front RM's today, ready for a paint strip and recolour... Here's how the new fronts will look in comparison to the old 7's... 8.0F + 8.5R is going to be funnnnnn

Some better wheel images. As you can see, after a quick clean the corrosion was pretty bad. So far i've got the one rim to this state The two that have laquered faces i will be polishing the lips and running this week Had some photo's back from ultimate stance too, the last UK show of the year. Me and Dawson also had a dead hoodie colab. Cheers all.

Morning all, Copped some daily wheels for winter, pretty bad move as they're polished metal so they''ll love the salty Winter UK roads but i'll deal with it. They're called Cartec Monza 1's, Next to no info on them so if anyone knows anything about them please share! Bought them of of facebook market place, considering they're 30 years old they're not actually too bad. Will upload more photo's of them later as i've left my phone at home, whoops. I've started sanding and re polishing one, and so far minus the pitting, it's coming up mint. Not arsed about them being stupid clean, just nice and presentable.

Whats new? I have acquired and installed a new rare as hens teeth gear knob. That's literally it. I won't be doing anymore work now until i begin to strip it for the engine and running gear conversion. Plan is: (Mehow you'll approve) Smoothed front bumper, plastic welded with use of a donor bumper to keep the 3 lines across the whole bumper 16v Boot floor cut out of donor can and welded into mine (Shallower floor to allow for central exit exhaust) 16V Rear bumper GTE Seats can finally go in, as well as interior trimmed to match 16v 1396cc engine swap, with all donor looms and running gear (Brakes etc) Head rebuild, will send out for a port and polish I'm going to use my 1.0 gearbox, but use the long 5th gear out of my Polo's dead box (Photo's further down), after stripping my Polo box, i discovered you can literally change 5th gear in 15 mins. Perfect. Interior air build will be finished, as i never got around to completing it. Rebuilding my splits, 8.0 front 8.5 rear, with polished faces, black mesh inserts Only other work i have scoped in is dependant on time, and if i will realistically be able to get it done in time. That being: Rear roll cage, unsure of where to go to get one quoted and drawn up Porsche Yachting blue respray Deadline - 10th May 2019, Wothersee. My friend knocked up a render of how the bumper will look as you can see here. We hit 114k Yesterday too!! Remember my Polo? Well, i got round to getting the box out last week. Here's 3rd gear. Casing is completely destroyed, so i'm picking up my new gearbox tonight. Glad this one's never let me down...

So, whats new? Done a small wiring mod, meaning i now have twin indicators Looks so fresh now. Also went to E38 on the weekend just gone, as always a mint show. Comparison of 2017 - 2018 I've also just been given a 1.4 16v Sport Lupo open air as a donor car too..... so JDO is going to be going to a whole new level.

That was the initial plan! However i've been given the full running gear setup from a 6N2 GTI so i'm going to roll with that for now!

Hi all! JDO's still going strong... 111,000 miles on him now!! Tyres all changed, tried my mates BM8's on while i was at the garage, perfect daily rims! My mate Hayden really makes me want a £300 turd..... This Lupo literally owe's him £540, is on 180,000 miles (This is 110,000 more than the average life of a UK car) and doesn't miss a beat. And finally, inside at Fitted UK 2108. This was a massive deal for me, it's been my target achievement for 3 years to get into this show. Next stop, E38. My last show in JDO this year before i pull it apart (again) and do the 1.6 conversion.

Hello again all, Been MEGA busy, so had next to no time to actually update. I'll start with the show side of things! FRANCE 2018 - VW Days Trip to Halfords to being the trip, GB stickers and REDEX for one big cleany boi Planned to tape up me car for the drive, ran out of tape, standard. Departed at dover, france here we come! by Pitched up and explored the show, bailed out good friend Fidowicz out too and let him and Bill crash in my tiny tent, fantastic sleep however... Shows like this are the best for me. Switch off, chill out and dick about with your mates. We had to also put to bed who's Lupo is quicker... needless to say i lost Awesome show, can't wait till next year! Players 2 weeks ago, what a weekend that was. Untitled by Lewis Deakin, on Flickr Awesome first day, for me this is always the best car show show of the year. It's awesome. I did however sleep on two hotel room floors for the duration of the weekend, air beds are a god send for free hotel use..... And of course as with every year, fish and chips on the beach on the sunday evening, winner. Very close to 110K now too! it just keeps going! Also had a bash at refurbing the dish i damaged last year, and considering i've never attempted this before, i'm actually really happy with the outcome! All i want to do now is to flat down the welds you can see on the inside of the lip! They just need blending in a bit more!

Hi again, haven't posted for a while! Been a busy few weeks, many shows have been on and i've been flat out with college and work Vw days is next! Modnats was a decent camping show, Josh's Accord is one awesome little car! I've ruined my roof however. Decided it would be a great idea to get my mates to sit on it for a picture, thats now left the front of the roof covered in creases. Bad move. Cov Motofest was decent too! And to end the day, a nice pint down by the old quarry.

Well driving a bagged car is fun! Literally every set of lights i pull up too i air out at and blow minds hahaha, discovered i have a leaking check valve that i'll replace after Wothersee, give it a few smacks and it free's up lol Gained a few stares at college lol Does little scrapey boi's too! I just love this thing. Also, for now i'm running a temporary boot build that i knocked up when fitting the air. Considering it's just a quick lash up i actually think it looks alright!
