Here is my Mk 1 Vr6 i have copied from another forum so some bits may not make sence!

 

Thought I would start a new topic about my Mk1

 

I got it about 9 months ago and stripped and rebuilt the engine with a 2.0 bottom end

Just when i was planning to get the car back on the road i went and got a Vr6 high line really cheap so have decided to put it in the Mk1 :)

 

Got the engine out of the Mk1 this weekend and have ordered the Mk1 Vr6 conversion kit from eurowise

So going to get the Vr6 lump out next weekend and let the fun begin :)

Engine out the Vr6 and ready for a clean :)

Spent all day fitting the loom 2day figuring out what I need and don't need fliping nitemare I hate wiring :(

But on the plus side i found a radiator that fits :)

Bit of a update after a nice dry day at last fit the rad with twin fans and also replaced all the old fuel lines :)

Bet that euro wise kit costs abit esp with the import duty tax :lol: That vr6 engine looks the bollards in the mk1 engine bay :) . You dont see many mk1 vr's over here but loads in america . Keep up the good progress

Yeah the eurowise kit wasn't cheap but it makes the conversion easy and looks tidy :)

 

The hoses cost me £65 for 10 meters :)

 

And just about to order a MK1 Golf Bias Pedal Box with Hydraulic clutch :)

Sweet that is a good price for the hoses  :D

Engine sits perfectly! The wheels in the first few pics fit nicely too! Great work :)

what was import duty and delivery cost like? Something that doesn't really show well on there website.

 

PM if you would prefer.

 

Does look the bollards in there though; any ideas on exhaust manifold? Know if the MK2 VR conversion manifold fits?
