Airlift issue

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

my car is on airlift performance suspension and having really annoying where my driver side front tyre looses air pressure when the car is aired out. I’ve had it re sealed checked for punctures everything fine.

just wondered if anyone had ever had this issue and how you sorted it?

Im running a 245/35/18 on a 18x10 wheel so only small amount of stretch and about 3 degrees camber

thanks for any help :)

It will be because when you air out the wheel is pulled inwards, so pulls the tyre off the bead slightly. Not sure what you can do to stop it, maybe some bead sealer would help.

My old Skoda used to do the same thing.

If I left it aired out for a few days then both front tyres would go flat. They were 215 40 18 on a 7.5inch wheel so no stretch really.

I resolved the issue by removing the air and going back to coils but as Matty said, the bead will be breaking on the tyre ever so slightly .
